Bird colonies of herons, spoonbills, eastern flossy ibises and cormorants, pelicans, seagulls, terns etc.
Rosca - Buhaiova, the biggest European mixed colony: common pelican pairs, with tens of curly pelican and big cormorant, in scenery that reminds us of Jurassic Park.
Specialists only have access nearby the colonies (special authorizations requested).

Birdwatching activities are to be organized for small groups, on request, departing from Tulcea, Murighiol or Dunavat.

If the water is frozen, fishing in an ice hole gives good results at: pike (river pirate), perch and pike perch especially when using live bait.
